The article examines the meaning of the verb ξηραίνω in Rev 14:15 within the vision of the eschatological harvest. Drawing on comparisons of translations, Greek and Semitic lexicographical data, and Old Testament contexts, it highlights the tension between “ripened” and “withered.” The study argues that this ambiguity is intentional and enriches the theological message by encompassing both the maturity of the faithful and the fruitlessness of those who fail to endure.
